Does FedEx deliver earlier than scheduled?

Sometimes your package ships early. When it arrives at our facility, it is sorted to the correct delivery route and goes out on the delivery truck in the morning. Many times we get the package sooner than promised, but we don't routinely hold onto it for a particular delivery date.

In respect to this, is FedEx accurate on estimated delivery date?

They are only as accurate as the driver is. If you can't be around, you can always call FedEx and tell them to hold it for you at the distribution facility, then pick it up yourself after 5.

Similarly, do packages come before the estimated delivery date?

Yes. Estimated delivery is only a guess based on past performance. Plenty of mail is delivered before then. If you got that estimated date from a retailer then its almost certain the package will arrive early.

What does scheduled delivery mean FedEx?

Can I speed up a FedEx package?

FedEx ground drivers can deliver and pick up packages 150lbs and under. Freight is anything 151lbs and over. When you call to schedule a pickup; specify to the FedEx agent correctly what the weight of the package is.

Why does FedEx take so long to deliver?

Because FedEx doesn't store packages, and the longest time in transit for a Ground package is 7 business days, and that's not between places that you can drive between in 8 hours. Once FedEx has possession of the package, they will tell you when it will be delivered based on the service level paid for.

Is FedEx tracking reliable?

The tracking system is quite accurate. The projection of when your package should arrive at its destination is also accurate. The system cannot account for variables. Plane delays due to weather, trucks breaking down, power outages at sorting facilities etc.

How does USPS calculate estimated delivery date?

How to: Find the Estimated Delivery date on READY TO SHIP. The Estimated Delivery date is displayed on the READY TO SHIP page to the right of the Ship date. The Estimated Delivery date is also displayed in the list of service options under the Carrier Service drop down menu, when the Carrier is set to USPS.
